애국가 (Aegukga - National anthem of Korea)

The Aegukga is the national anthem of South Korea(Republic of Korea). It is performed at national ceremonies, official events, and international sporting competitions. The music has a solemn and majestic style, expressing the unity of the Korean people and their love for their country. The melody used today was composed around 1935 by the Korean composer Ahn Eak-tai. It is based on Western musical harmony and orchestral techniques, giving the anthem a powerful and dignified sound.
