Osteophyte

Some music I've made for a Minecraft modpack. Area theme for Lightfall Plains, overtaken by the Legion of Bone. Osteophyte are "bony lumps that grow on the bones in the spine or around joints." Seemed fitting. Time signature is 5/4 to give an unwelcome feeling to the track. You're in an area filled with giant bones and imposing outposts, this land is all but welcoming. The track begins with a driving drum beat and oppressive guitar pattern accompanied by a rapid harp pattern that accentuates the tension. Soon, a bit countermelody begins that adds a touch of emotion to this tense track. When the pling chords begin, the snare drum begins playing much faster. This is where the track's adventurous spirit begins to shine through. You've moved past initial trepidation, and now you're ready to take back the Plains. The pling chords are soon accented by a flute and bell duet, replacing the darkness of the first half with a heroic anthem, emblematic of your mission here.
